Vector AI: Quantum Systems unveils new tactical UAS at the AUSA Global Force Symposium
With Vector AI, Quantum Systems aims to give armed forces a reconnaissance edge in contested environments. The company cites autonomous missions, greater range and resilience against electronic warfare.

Quantum Systems presented a next-generation tactical unmanned aircraft system (UAS) on Wednesday at the AUSA Global Force Symposium & Exposition 2025: Vector AI, equipped with support from artificial intelligence (AI) and improved flight performance.
According to Quantum Systems, Vector AI is “developed for frontline forces operating in dynamic and contested environments, and supports advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities with autonomous mission execution, superior resilience against electronic warfare and AI-driven real-time situational awareness”.
In time-critical operations, this is intended to secure the “decisive reconnaissance edge” for armed forces.
Sven Kruck, co-CEO of Quantum-Systems GmbH, said:
“This platform was developed to meet the continuously evolving requirements of allied armed forces for software-defined defence”— Sven Kruck, co-CEO of Quantum-Systems GmbH
“It offers advanced ISR capabilities in the most difficult combat situations. Its interoperability and seamless integration into the transparent battlefield give deployed forces a significant advantage and operational superiority in complex missions.”— Sven Kruck, co-CEO of Quantum-Systems GmbH
Vector AI builds on operational experience
Dave Sharpin, CEO of Quantum-Systems Inc., added:
“Vector has already proven itself in military operations worldwide, and this latest iteration builds on that experience to deliver the most capable medium-range eVTOL sUAS currently available on the market”— Dave Sharpin, CEO of Quantum-Systems Inc.
“With its extended range, AI-driven mission autonomy and its modular, MOSA-compliant design, Vector AI offers unmatched flexibility and adaptability for modern armed forces operating in dynamic and contested environments.”— Dave Sharpin, CEO of Quantum-Systems Inc.
Compared with the previous version, Vector AI features “numerous improvements”, according to the company. These include:
- resistance to GPS and communications loss
- improved adaptability through modular payload integration
- autonomous, AI-driven reconnaissance and surveillance (ISR)
- seamless multi-domain interoperability
- improved endurance for longer mission times
