About Terma
Danish defence and security company from Lystrup near Aarhus that supplies SCANTER radars, command-and-control systems and integrated counter-UAS solutions, including a system deployed at critical infrastructure and military sites across Denmark.
Terma A/S is a Danish defence and security company registered in Lystrup, Aarhus Municipality. It supplies radar and command-and-control solutions to navies, air defence units and critical infrastructure operators, together with avionics such as 3D audio systems for the F-16 and self-protection equipment for transport aircraft. Its long-term owners include the Thomas B. Thriges Fond and the Danish pension fund ATP; the company is led by CEO Henriette Hallberg Thygesen. In the 2025/26 financial year Terma reported revenue of DKK 3.4 billion, order intake of DKK 5.6 billion and a record order backlog of DKK 6.9 billion, and it has set up a subsidiary in Kyiv.
Counter-UAS and critical infrastructure protection are named as growth areas. In 2025 Terma introduced SCANTER Sphera, a 3D radar derived from its SCANTER 5000 and 6000 series that provides 360-degree coverage over land, airspace and water and classifies targets with an AI engine using micro-Doppler signatures and target kinematics. It can be used as a standalone sensor or as part of a larger counter-UAS system.
In October 2025 Terma announced that an integrated counter-UAS solution combining several SCANTER radars, electro-optical and infrared cameras with AI models and its own situational awareness software had been deployed at critical infrastructure and military installations across Denmark. In November 2025 it completed the acquisition of OSL Technology, a UK-based counter-drone specialist with a background in airport and national infrastructure protection, to extend its counter-UAS and infrastructure protection portfolio.
