ARX Robotics, a specialist in autonomous land systems, has opened Europe's largest production facility for autonomous defence systems. According to the company, this step marks the start of “a new phase of growth that will make it possible to expand production capacity considerably and make a decisive contribution to the global security situation”.

Marc Wietfeld, co-founder and CEO of ARX Robotics, said: “The opening of our new plant is a decisive step – both for ARX Robotics and for European defence capability”.

Members of the Bundestag Florian Hahn (CSU) and Andreas Lenz (CSU) attended the inauguration ceremony. Hahn stressed: “Germany's role in the European security architecture is shaped decisively by innovative companies – particularly in fields such as software-defined defence and artificial intelligence”.

Lenz added: “ARX Robotics combines technological excellence with a deep military understanding – an essential combination for the future of defence.”

More capacity for autonomous defence systems

The new production line increases ARX Robotics' production capacity 30-fold. This makes industrial series production of unmanned systems possible in Europe for the first time. At the same time, the company is expanding its strategic partnerships and accelerating the development of innovative autonomous defence systems.

As a further significant milestone, ARX Robotics also reports having delivered the largest Western fleet of unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) to Ukraine. According to the company, this underlines its “clear commitment to European and global security”; at the same time it demonstrates “the company's ability to provide critical defence technologies at scale”.

The press release concludes: “With this expansion, ARX Robotics consolidates its position as a leading player in European defence technology and sets new standards for the future of autonomous systems.”
