Quantum Systems and ARX Robotics found the UXS Alliance
With the UXS Alliance, Quantum Systems and ARX Robotics want to bring together companies working on unmanned systems in all domains. It will be based in Berlin, centred on a software framework that connects systems regardless of manufacturer.

Only a few days ago, Quantum Systems successfully closed a funding round, and now the drone manufacturer has its next piece of news: together with ARX Robotics, the company is launching an alliance open to firms working on unmanned systems in all domains. Under the name UXS Alliance, further industry partners are to join and pool German and European know-how. In this way, the alliance aims to contribute to the defence of Europe and to securing NATO's eastern flank.
The two companies explain the step in a joint press release: “In a tense geopolitical situation, various conflicts from Nagorno-Karabakh to Ukraine show the growing importance of unmanned systems on the modern battlefield”. It also states: “While Ukraine, for example, is already extensively integrating unmanned systems on land, in the air and on water into its armed forces, this development is only now beginning in Germany, Europe and NATO.”
A framework for unmanned systems from all manufacturers
The two companies had already concluded a strategic partnership in the spring. The centrepiece of the cooperation now announced will be a software framework, already under development, that links all unmanned systems with one another regardless of manufacturer. The alliance, whose motto is “UXS Alliance: Leaders of the unmanned Future”, will be based in Berlin; membership is open to other companies.
Florian Seibel, founder and CEO of Quantum Systems, explained: “The future is unmanned. And with the alliance we want to express our ambition to create a strategic asset for Germany and Europe that strengthens our resilience and makes us a technological pioneer”.
For ARX Robotics, CEO and founder Mark Wietfeld commented: “Stronger Together. That is not only NATO's motto, but must also apply to the industry of the alliance. With the UXS Alliance, we want to send a signal that scalable and modular systems will in future be decisive for the success of all missions.”
