Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles Österreich GesmbH is the Austrian company of Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV), a joint venture formed in 2010 in which Rheinmetall AG holds 51 per cent and MAN Truck & Bus SE 49 per cent. RMMV is based in Munich and is part of the Rheinmetall Group’s Vehicle Systems division. The Austrian company is located at Brunner Straße 44–50 in Vienna-Liesing and was entered in the Austrian commercial register in 2010.

According to Rheinmetall, the Vienna plant is the main competence centre for protected and unprotected military logistic vehicles. The high-mobility trucks of the HX family are developed, produced and delivered from here to military customers worldwide; the site also builds civilian vehicles and adapts them for special applications. Variants include recovery vehicles, heavy tractor units and carrier platforms for radar, artillery and air defence systems. The site employs about 1,500 people, and Rheinmetall gives its capacity as 4,000 to 4,500 trucks per year.

Main customers include the Bundeswehr, which in May 2026 called off more than 2,000 unprotected transport vehicles under a 2024 framework contract for up to 6,500 vehicles, and the Austrian Armed Forces, which in 2023 awarded RMMV a seven-year framework contract for up to 1,375 HX, TGS and TGM vehicles built in Vienna, later extended by up to 300 further trucks.
