Ground drones for Ukraine: ARX Robotics wins major order for more Gereon systems
German UGV manufacturer ARX Robotics is delivering more Gereon ground drones to Ukraine and producing some of them locally. Networked via Mithra OS, this grows what the manufacturer calls the world's largest military robotics fleet.

ARX Robotics has received a new major order from Ukraine: it will deliver more Gereon systems, i.e. ground drones or unmanned ground vehicles (UGV). This creates a fleet-wide networked capability – according to the German UGV manufacturer, the “world's largest military robotics fleet”.
Part of it is being produced at ARX Robotics' Ukrainian plant. At the same time, suppliers and partner companies in the country are expanding their capacities.
The networked Gereon fleet is used across domains and in a wide range of missions. It is based on the ARX Robotics framework with Mithra OS. This combines autonomous functions, sensors and open interfaces and makes it possible to coordinate fleets and system networks in dynamic operational situations. Networking the entire fleet is intended to shorten reaction times, secure logistics and increase operational endurance. This in turn strengthens defence capability on land.

Marc Wietfeld, co-founder and CEO of ARX Robotics, says: “This major order is a decisive vote of confidence and a clear mandate to scale. By expanding the networked Gereon fleet, we are scaling a key capability with Ukraine and strengthening the German-Ukrainian partnership. At the same time, we are laying the foundation for a robust, locally anchored supply chain.”
Igor Kornilov, CEO of ARX Ukraine, adds: “Production at our Ukrainian plant and cooperation with local partners accelerate introduction into the Ukrainian armed forces and secure supply in operation. We are building capacities and skills in Ukraine that create value beyond the order.”
