About Skana Robotics

Israeli developer of autonomous surface, underwater and amphibious vessels and of SeaSphere fleet-management software for naval missions such as ISR, harbour protection and anti-submarine warfare.

Skana Robotics Ltd. is an Israeli maritime autonomy company led by co-founder and CEO Idan Levy and co-founder and CPO Idan Hazan. According to the company, it was founded by veterans of naval special operations together with robotics and autonomy specialists. It describes its offering as a software-defined system of systems for modern naval forces, covering operations from subsurface to shoreline, and lists harbour protection, underwater infrastructure monitoring, ISR and anti-submarine warfare as its missions.

Its first two platforms were unveiled in September 2025. Bull Shark is an autonomous surface vessel for ISR and maritime presence with a payload of up to 150 kg, a range of 120 nautical miles and a top speed of 50 knots; it can be launched from docks, beaches or larger vessels and can act as a communications hub for surface and subsurface assets. Stingray is a loitering autonomous underwater vehicle for ISR, anti-submarine warfare and infrastructure protection with a diving depth of 300 m, modular sonar, ELINT and mapping payloads and the ability to anchor on the seabed. The company also lists Alligator, an autonomous amphibious vessel for logistics and surveillance that can move from water to land.

The software side consists of SeaSphere, a central engine for mission planning and resource allocation across the fleet, and Vera, a ROS 2-based command core on every vessel that executes and supervises mission logic onboard and adapts it to changing conditions. A simulation environment supports operator training, war-gaming and mission testing. Skana states that its systems are designed for NATO-standard integration and for interoperability with legacy and allied systems, and that initial orders have been secured; customers have not been named.
