Elbit Systems Sweden

Elbit Systems Sweden AB, part of Elbit Systems, was established in 2020 and is headquartered in Gothenburg. It operates at four locations in Sweden, where it develops, manufactures, integrates and supports products and systems, and in 2025 announced an expansion to Norrbotten. Its business covers communication systems, command and control, sensors, electronic warfare, unmanned systems and systems integration, with particular expertise in radio systems.

The company describes itself as a strategic partner of the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) in digitalisation. In October 2023 it signed a ten-year framework agreement, worth about SEK 1.7 billion over the period, to act as integration partner for the Swedish Army’s LSS Mark tactical command and control system. In 2026 it launched the Tactical High Mobility Shelter (THMS), a mobile platform for communications, sensors and mission systems, and announced plans to set up Elbit Systems’ first European production and maintenance centre for laser warning systems.

In unmanned systems the company offers the group’s portfolio in Sweden, including the THOR tactical drone. During the Swedish Armed Forces’ Arctic Strike 25 experimentation exercise it linked its Torch-X command and control system with the Dominion-X software for autonomous drone swarms, which directed a swarm to find, locate and identify targets. In a 2026 field demonstration of a tactical network with more than 120 nodes, drones exchanged voice, video and data with command posts, armoured vehicles and dismounted soldiers.
