Bayraktar TB2 for Croatia: Baykar reports sale of six drones for 67 million euros
The contract was signed in Zagreb, but the exact timetable remains open: Croatia is receiving six Bayraktar TB2 including training. The Ministry of Defence has not said whether operations start at the end of 2025 or deliveries only begin in early 2026.

Croatia is getting new drones: according to the Turkish manufacturer Baykar, it has sold six Bayraktar TB2 to the south-east European country. The contract is worth 67 million euros.
The contract was signed in Zagreb, the Croatian capital. Present were Croatian Defence Minister Ivan Anušić and Haluk Bayraktar, CEO of Baykar.

The Bayraktar TB2 is suited not only to military missions but also to civilian tasks – such as disaster relief, search and rescue, monitoring irregular migration and forest firefighting.
According to the Croatian defence minister, besides the six drone systems the agreement also covers training for Croatian soldiers and drone operators. Unconfirmed reports suggest operations could begin as early as the end of 2025. Other media, however, report that the first TB2 will only be delivered in early 2026. The Croatian Ministry of Defence has given no precise details.
Bayraktar TB2 now under contract in 35 countries
Another member state of NATO and the European Union is thus adding the Bayraktar TB2 to its inventory. In total, the Turkish manufacturer now has its TB2 under contract in 35 countries. The TB3 is already available as a possible successor: according to Baykar, a TB3 recently became the world's first unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) to take off from and land on an aircraft carrier with a short runway.
